PhD research into the foundations of how physics and geometry equations were derived have caused me to question their logical and philosophical basis. The discarded notions of an aether, banished in mainstream science, appears to have a much much stronger logical basis than I have been told. My own research into how the calculus, Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry shows that there is a flaw from the 17th century that has been carried forward to the 21st and is responsible for the predicament that physics finds itself in today.
