It is commonplace to derive the Maxwell´s Equations that connect the electric and magnetic fields beginning with the Liénard-Wiechert scalar potential φ and vector potential A , respectively.

Feynman’s Lectures on Physics give a good view of how this is thought to be done. Please see: Richard Phillips Feynman, (mainly Electromagnetism and Matter), Lectures on Physics, 1989, Addison-Wesley, pp. 21-9 –11.

However, if analysing the steps of the derivation rigorously, it becomes evident that the derivation has been fallaciously done. Please see:

2003 Refutation of Feynman’s Derivation of the Lienard-Wiechert Potentials Journal of New Energy, Volume 7, No. 3, pp. 42-44 2003, 10th Natural Philosophy Alliance Conference, Storrs, CT, United States, https://www.naturalphilosophy.org/site/event/?eventid=22

This means that a corner-stone in mainstream electromagnetic theory has been successfully falsified.

Using this discovery, it has been possible to define a new electromagnetic field theory based on Coulomb´s Law, which is demonstrated by several other papers, please see
