Abstract

A theory of elementary particle structure is presented that has been built around a physical model analogous to the Bohr-Sommerfeld atomic model. The first installment of the theory has been published in a previous paper [L. Bess and L. Chandler, Prog. Theor. Phys. 46, 235(1971)]. In the present work, the theory is extended to deal with all the known half-spin particles. The main new result of the extended theory is the calculation of seven associated physical parameters that compare well with their experimentally measured counterparts. These include the neutron magnetic moment and the masses of the six heaviest baryons.
