Abstract
The paper presents some critical remarks on the methodological fundamentals of special relativity theory. Some inconsistencies in the kinematic notions of special relativity theory are considered. The relativity of simultaneity, the Lorentz transformation laws, and the relativistic velocity addition law are considered in detail.
