	My work seeks to serve as a visual bridge between the Physical Sciences and the Science of Consciousness. The majority of my work that has been exhibited over the past twenty years is recognizably geometrically abstract. Euclidian geometry is the organizational underpinning of these works of art. The five construction rules of Euclidian geometry; employing a compass, a straight edge and a marking instrument are the tools employed in generating these compositions which are then realized as drawings, paintings or sculpture. My sculptural installations are distillations of an ancient body of knowledge that reaches far into past human history. They are sketches for future public works of art. Vandorn Hinnant (Born 1953) received a BA in Art Design from The North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro NC, and studied sculpture at UNC-Greensboro. His original works of art are in numerous private and corporate collections throughout North America, and some works are in Europe and Africa. He has served as guest curator of exhibitions, as juror of many fine art competitions, and has guest lectured at colleges and universities. He serves as an arts educational consultant working with both youth and adult learners. From 2007 through 2010 he taught a unique Mandala print making class at Duke University through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the Department of Continuing Education. He is currently preparing a series of his sculpture maquettes for fabrication into permanent materials.
