	This paper presents problems with the Special Theory of Relativity (STR), including: (1) The principle of relativity as interpreted by Einstein conflicts with the uniqueness of the Universe. The principle contains a tacit assumption that leads to self-contradiction. (3) The Lorentz transformation (LT) is based, not upon the so-called light principle, but rather upon a general time-space dependence, and lacks a proof of necessity and uniqueness. (4) The LT contradicts its premises, holding for no observer. (5) The Lorentz contraction is shown untenable in practice.
